There is more of an air of sophistication attached to this destination and the whole gambling experience is said to be far more tasteful than its US counterpart. Monte Carlo would probably transpire to be Macau's closest comparable.

Accommodation in this vibrant corner of China is often as opulent as the casinos themselves. What's more, you will also tend to find that the rooms are at a very reasonable rate, especially when you consider what you are getting for your money.

Macau makes for an ideal destination as a stopover if you are looking to fly on to the Antipodes. Either on the way to or from Australia and New Zealand, trust me, Macau will break up your journey for a few nights perfectly. It will definitely add an element of real fun to any holiday and with so much to see and do in the area, will be an ideal vacation spot in its own right.
